Packing Up

January 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Tomorrow we will be packing up and heading north. My mind is racing with all of the things that we will be doing upon arriving. Please lift us up before God. I do know that if we plant and water, that He will give the increase.

  January 2008

Dear Pastor, Family, and Friends,

New number and new address. We are officially New
Yorkers. Praise the Lord, it is finally here. My
family and I will be moving before the end of January.
All are excited and anticipating what God has in store
for us.
Thanks to all of you who have been praying and giving,
your efforts are not in vain. When we arrive in
Middletown, we will be contacting all of the people
who we have been able to meet thus far. Then begin to
have Bible studies with those who are interested. We
plan on having a big day on Easter of this year, so
please pray that God will give the increase, and I
know that He will.
Our new address is 9-C Hillside Dr. Middletown NY
10941

and my phone number is 845-467-1235. Please pass this
info on to as many people as possible. You can also go
to our website www.hope.fm and keep up with us there.

In closing, I would like to mention a great need that
we have, our moving and set up costs. If any of you
have ever moved a long distance, or started a church
from scratch, you know of all the costly expenses:
moving, initial rent, deposits, signs, advertisement,
printing, sound equipment, chairs, pulpit etc. If
anyone would like to give toward this urgent need,
please send all donations to Macedonia World Baptist
Missions P.O. Box 519 Braselton Ga 30517 marked Wayne
Cooke set up fund.
Thank you so very much, and may God bless your
ministries.
Wayne, Lina, Alex, Jordan, and Abigail Cooke

New Address

January 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

9-C Hillside Dr.

Middletown Ny, 10940

This is our new address. It is so exciting to write and tell you that we are officially New Yorkers. Another step closer to starting the church. I know that God is ordering our steps, so please be in prayer for everything that is going to be transpiring over the next few weeks. I want to say thank you to all the people we met in Middletown last week. Everyone was so nice and seemed to show an interest in what we will be doing. I also have a short wish list that I would like to share with you.

1.a video projector

2. a good sound system ( we already have a 32 channel sound board, would like to trade it toward a 16 channel board and system.)

3. a laptop

4. also we will be needing some chairs. we would like to have about 200, but 100 will be good to start.

I am sure I could add others, but I will leave it at just these few for now.

$6000

January 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment

My family and I will be going to Middletown next week to find a place to live. After talking with my pastor he would like for us to raise another $6000 before we make our final move. We already have $2000 of that promised. If anyone would like to be a part of starting Hope Baptist Church, you can send your donation to Macedonia World Baptist Missions P.O. Box 519 Braselton, Ga 30517, marked Wayne Cooke start up fund. We want to thank you in advance for any donations given.

Away

January 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

It feels like forever since I have written. We have been moving and have not been around a computer. I want to say thank you to Austin Gardner and everyone at the Our Generation Summit, who so generously gave us a $2000 offering for the church plant. We had a wonder time and were challenged greatly. I will try and keep up on my writing which might be difficult over the next few days.
